    The film revolves around three male friends who try to cheat their respective wives for another girl. No Entry was a major commercial success at the box office. Though the film received mixed to positive reviews.

    Drishyam (2013 – Beginning)

    In 2013, director and writer Jeetu Joseph received praise for his critically acclaimed film Drishyam. Drishyam is a popular movie franchise in India. It is a drama film that received widespread critical acclaim upon its release in India. It is considered a landmark film in the Malayalam Film Industry. Drishyam won numerous awards including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film with Popular Appeal and Aesthetic Value. The film starred an ensemble cast of Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, Asha Sarath, Siddique, Roshan Basheer, and Neeraj Madhav among others.

The 2018 horror comedy film Stree had received positive reviews and had emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. Surely, Stree 2 was a much-awaited film.     Stree 2 was always expected to perform well at the box office. Upon its release, the film received widespread critical acclaim. The film is bursting with epic one-liners and mad comedy and horror sequences. Overall, four horror comedy films have been released, Stree (2018), Bhediya (2022), Munjya (2024), and Stree 2 (2024). Munjya which was released recently is amongst the biggest hit of 2024.

    With Stree 2, Maddock Supernational Universe is now amongst Bollywood’s biggest film franchises. The YRF Universe is the biggest film franchise of Bollywood. But the Maddock Supernational Universe has beaten the Rohit Shetty Universe to emerge as the second biggest film franchise. Not just the Rohit Shetty Universe, Maddock Supernational Universe has left out the Dhoom film franchise, Dabangg film franchise, Race film franchise, Krissh film franchise, and several other film franchises to emerge as the biggest franchise besides YRF Universe. The Maddock Supernational Universe has seven to eight horror comedy films in the pipeline.

    The future is astonishing for Maddock Supernational Universe. They have several horror comedy films planned to release in upcoming years including Stree 3 and Bhediya 2. The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Pragya Jaiswal, and Aditya Seal among others. The film has received positive reviews.

    While the third 2024 Independence Day release is Vedaa. It is starring John Abraham, Sharvari, Abhishek Banerjee, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Ashish Vidyarthi. Vedaa too has received positive reviews.

    Stree 2 vs Vedaa vs Khel Khel Mein. A tough choice for the audience but Stree 2 has taken the lead. The makers of Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein would be overjoyed if their respective films at least collected over 100 crores globally because it is impossible to stand against a hurricane like Stree 2 that has the best potential to gross over 700 crores globally. The only film that releases next is Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency which is scheduled to release on 6th September. But her film is carrying zero hype.

    We can’t even imagine that hurricane Stree 3 will set with its release in 2027 or 2028. Yes! Stree 3 and Stree 4 are already confirmed with another standalone horror comedy film that will feature only Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.

    The official release date of Rajinikanth’s 170th film titled ‘Vettaiyan’ is announced.

    Vettaiyan is scheduled to be released worldwide on 10 October 2024. Vettaiyan is a large scale drama film starring an ensemble cast of Rajnikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan among others.

    The film is written and directed by T. J Gnanavel and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah of Lyca Productions. T. J Gnanavel previously directed the critically acclaimed Tamil film Jai Bhim (2021) starring Suriya. Lyca Productions has produced several blockbuster Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi films such as Ponniyin Selvan: I, Ponniyin Selvan: II, 2.0, Vada Chennai, and Ram Sethu.

    Film director T. J Gnanavel was previously thinking of signing his last hero Suriya for Vettaiyan. T. J Gnanavel narrated the script of Vettaiyan to Suriya during the filming of Jai Bhim (2021) and the actor proved it back then. But later Suriya dropped out of the project due to his commitment to other films.

    In July 2022, T. J Gnanavel confirmed that he would start working on Vettaiyan with actor Vijay or Rajinikanth in the lead. Later, Lyca Productions officially announced the film with Rajnikanth as the main lead. After working together in film 2.0 (2018), Lyca Productions still had a two film deal with Rajinikanth and this is how Lyca Productions came on board to produce Vettaiyan. The film is made on a budget of 160 crores. It is one of the most expensive Tamil films. The film is shot in many locations such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kerala, and Puducherry. The film will release on Amazon Prime Video post its theatrical release.

    The title of the film was announced on 12 December 2023 on Rajinikanth’s 73rd birthday.

    Vettaiyan is set to release on 10 October 2024. Interestingly, the film is set to clash with Suriya’s Pan India film ‘Kanguva’ which releases on the same day. Kanguva is a high-budget fantasy film starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani among others. The film is directed by Siva and it is one of the most awaited Indian films of 2024. Both Vettaiyan and Kanguva will find it hard to compete with each other in the southern states of India.

    Vettaiyan also clashes with the much awaited Hindi film ‘Jigra’ which releases on 11 October 2024. Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta.     Vettaiyan is said to be the Tamil debut film of legendary Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan. He previously shared the screen with his good friend Rajinikanth in the 1991 Hindi film ‘Hum’. Vettaiyan is the fifth Tamil film for Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, who is highly hailed as one of India’s finest actors. He was last seen in the 2022 Tamil film ‘Vikram’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj starring Kamal Hassan and Vijay Sethupathi among others. Fahadh Faasil is playing a comedy dynamic character, similar to what he played in his 2024 blockbuster film Aavesham.

    All the actresses such as Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan are playing the female lead in the movie. Baahubali fame ‘Rana Daggubati’ will be seen playing a prominent role in the film. While the superstar Rajinikanth plays the role of a police officer in the film.

    Rajinikanth has played the police officer role in many of his films including his last film J (2023) which emerged as the highest grossing Tamil film of 2023 and the second highest grossing Tamil film of all time.     Rajinikanth is amongst the highest-paid actors in India, one of the biggest superstars of the country, and one of the most influential and loved artists in India. Before J (2023) his last big hit film came in 2018 which was the scientific film ‘2.0’. following the success of J, Rajinikanth signed a few more high-budget films including Vettaiyan. While in India Vettaiyan will be released on 10 October 2024, the film will be released a day earlier in many countries. He recently skipped to host the third season of Bigg Boss 3 OTT as Anil Kapoor replaced him. Though Salman Khan will return to host the TV version of Bigg Boss.

    Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s wife Warda Khan Nadiadwala recently spoke about Sikandar in an interview. She revealed that Salman Khan is a bit disappointed since his last few films haven’t achieved extraordinary success whereas the Bollywood industry has seen a couple of ‘ATBB’ (All time blockbusters) in recent times. She stated that Salman Khan is committed to working hard and giving everyone a run for their money.

    The last several films of Salman Khan have been failed badly. He has delivered hits and profitable films. But his fans are severely bothered about his discerning. Salman’s last blockbuster film came in 2017. It was ‘TZH’ that grossed over 500 crores globally. His 2015 release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ grossed over 900 crores globally. He is a mega movie star with several blockbuster films. But his script selection from 2020 to 2023 has been terrible. His last few films such as Dabangg 3, Radhe, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan are terrible drama films that suit a young new actor, not Salman Khan who is hailed as one of the country’s biggest superstars. His last film ‘T3’ was one of the most awaited films of the year. It was predicted to gross over 800 crores globally. Though the film achieved success but didn’t perform to expectations. Also, the storyline, screenplay, and direction disappointed many.

    Thankfully, Salman has accepted his mistake after seeing the kind of reception Pathaan, Jawan, Salaar 1, and KGF 2 have received from the audience.

    Salman Khan is now looking to work with experienced big directors from the South Film Industry, collaborate with big producers, and sign interesting subjects. Sikandar is a big drama film with a strong script and a fresh story. Besides Sikandar, Salman Khan is discussing several big films. He has signed several big films in recent times. After Sikandar, his upcoming rumored films are Atlee’s next, Vishnu Vardhan’s next, Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2, Kick 2, and T vs P.

    T vs P is the dream project of Aditya Chopra. Aditya Chopra owns the YRF Universe which has delivered films like ETT, TZH, T3, Pathaan, and W1 led by Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan. The next film is from the Universe Alpha, a female film led by Alia Bhatt. YRF is also producing W2 which is under production. Pathaan 2 is confirmed too. And we might see T4 in some years. But it’s T vs P that would be a dream project for YRF as it will have India’s two biggest movie stars Salman and Shahrukh together for an entire film. And surely this will take several years to come in reality.

    Salman Khan is also discussing a film with Karan Johar. According to the reports, the film is titled ‘The Bull’ and it will be directed by Vishnu Vardhan (director of Shershaah). Salman Khan is also confirmed to star in Jawan director Atlee’s next. The rumored film will have two big movie stars, one from Bollywood and the other one from the Tamil Film Industry. Salman Khan and Kamal Hassan are rumored to star together in this film directed by Atlee.

    Salman is also looking to announce the sequel of his most loved and his most successful film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Kick 2 is also discussed.

    Varun Dhawan is all set to feature alongside Sunny Deol in B2

    Popular young actor Varun Dhawan has just signed the biggest film of his film career and probably the biggest Indian drama film ever.

    B1 (1997) is an epic drama film. The film starred an ensemble cast of Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Rakhee Gulzar, Pooja Bhatt, Tabu, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry and Khulbushan Kharbanda among others. The film was helmed by J. P. Dutta who is highly known for directing epic drama films.

    B2 is a sequel to the 1997 blockbuster film B1

    Released on 13 June 1997, B1 received positive reviews and widespread critical acclaim. It remained the most popular Indian film throughout the year and emerged as a blockbuster at the box office. It was the highest-grossing Indian film of 1997. Besides the film won several awards..

    Now, in 2024, the makers of B1 are planning the sequel of their blockbuster film. Sunny Deol will return to headline the project once again. And, this time, several young actors from the new generation have been approached for the lead characters of the movie. For the same, many young actors have been approached to join the cast. But a few actors are insecure about playing the second lead or an insignificant role.

    Varun Dhawan earlier in a social media post shared his excitement about joining the cast of B2.

    Alongside Varun Dhawan and Ayushmann Khurrana too has been approached. Several other young actors such as Ishaan Khatter, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Vikrant Massey have been approached by the casting team of B2. According to the sources, the film will be shot in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Kashmir, and Delhi. Many popular young actresses are expected to come on board for B2.

    The development of B2 began following the enormous success of Gadar 2. Sunny Deol was a popular star between 1990 – 2002. His drama films such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001), The Hero (2003), and B1 (1997) are some of the most treasured films. But the actor faced a downturn from 2004 – 2022 with continuous flops and disappointing films and barely a single or two hit films in 20 years.

    In 2023, Sunny Deol delivered the highest-grossing film of his career and one of the highest-grossing Hindi films ever. In 2023, Sunny Deol starred in Gadar 2, a sequel to his most loved film Gadar (2001). It’s been more than two decades and yet Gadar (2001) remains one of the most classic drama films. The success of Gadar 2 proved how big Gadar was in 1997 and how Indian audiences relate to this epic movie franchise. Released in 2023, Gadar 2 became one of the fewest Hindi films to enter the prestigious 500-crore club.

    Post Gadar 2, the makers of B1 began the planning of B1. And, no doubt, B2 can face the same triumph fortune of Gadar 2. The shooting of B2 commences in November 2024.

    Talking about B2, the film releases in 2026 while Sunny Deol has another big drama film set to release in 2025. He will star in Rajkumar Santoshi’s drama film 1947, another drama film.1947 will be produced by Aamir Khan and is set to release on Republic Day 2025.

    Besides Varun, the makers of B2 earlier signed Ayushmann Khurrana as one of the male leads in B2. Now the makers have also signed Varun Dhawan. But some reports also suggest that Ayushmann Khurrana has walked out of the project due to other film commitments and Varun Dhawan has replaced him. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. The makers are planning a big event in Mumbai where they will officially announce the film. All the cast members, crew, and the makers of B2 will be present at the event. No doubt, it is going to be the biggest drama film in India.

    Varun Dhawan is presently shooting for his upcoming mass-drama film titled ‘Baby John’. Baby John is produced by ‘Jawan’ (2023) director Atlee and is a remake of his 2016-directed Tamil film ‘Theri’ starring Vijay. Baby John is directed by Kalees and also stars Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff, Sanya Malhotra, Rajpal Yadav Wamiqa Gabbi, Sheeba Chaddha besides Varun Dhawan. One of the biggest superstars of the country, Salman Khan is rumored to make a special appearance in the film.

    Baby John is scheduled to be released in Christmas 2024. Varun Dhawan will have another big release before it. His debut TV show/series for Amazon Prime Video will be released in October. He will star in Amazon Prime’s Citadel: Honey Bunny, a spin-off of the Hollywood show ‘Citadel’. The series is helmed by Raj & DK and stars Varun Dhawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikander Kher among others.
