Ek Tha Tiger
Ek Tha Tiger is a spy romantic action thriller film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. The film is directed by Kabir Khan. The film generally received positive reviews and emerged as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2012.
Ek Tha Tiger happened to be a revolutionary film for the Indian Film Industry as it was the first film of YRF’s Spy Universe.

Sultan
Sultan is a sports drama action film starring Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, Randeep Hooda (cameo), Amit Sadh, Kumud Mishra, and Anant Vidhaat. The film features Salman Khan as a wrestler who is an Olympic gold medalist but suffers a great tragedy and a great personal loss due to his wrestling.
Sultan is said to be Salman Khan’s career-best performance and one of his best films ever. The film is produced by Ali Abbas Zafar. In 2016, the film broke several records to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever.
Pushpa: The Rise
Pushpa: The Rise is a 2021 action-drama film. It was the most popular film during the COVID-19 pandemic. The film starred popular Telugu actor Allu Arjun as Pushpa Raj. The film revolves around Pushpa Raj who is an underprivileged man and his rise as the king of a syndicate who smuggles red sandalwood.
Upon its release, Pushpa: The Rise received mixed to positive reviews and emerged as a blockbuster. Allu Arjun won the Best Actor Award at the National Film Awards for his role.
KGF Chapter One and KGF Chapter Two
The KGF film series is amongst the best action films of all time. KGF Chapter One was released in 2018 starring Kannada actor Yash as Rocky. The film received widespread popularity due to its action, stunts, story, and screenplay, whereas the lead actor of the film, Yash became an overnight sensation and today he is one of the biggest stars in the country.

URI: The Surgical Strike is an action thriller film and one of the best action films based on true events. The film is based on the 2016 Uri Attacks carried out by terrorists on the Indian Army and the surgical strike in retaliation by the Indian Army against terrorist units. The film is written and directed by Aditya Dhar who won the National Film Award for Best Director for the film.
URI: The Surgical Strike was released on 11 January 2019 to positive reviews. The film enthralled the sentiments and emotions of the Indian audience, resulting in its enormous success. URI: The Surgical Strike starred Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina, Paresh Rawal, and Yami Gautam among others. Vicky Kaushal won the Best Actor Award at the National Film Awards for the film.
After URI: The Surgical Strike, writer/director Aditya Dhar is making another military and spy-based film on a large scale.
Vikram
Vikram is a 2022 action thriller film starring Kamal Haasan in a never-before-seen avatar. Kamal Haasan is one of the legends of the Indian Film Industry but many of his past films have disappointed his fans or have failed at the box office. But Vikram happened to be a game-changer for him.
Upon its release, Vikram received positive reviews and emerged as a blockbuster. The film was praised for its action, story, screenplay, direction, background music, and performance from the entire cast. The film collected over 450 crores becoming one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of 2022.
The film featured three of the finest actors in Indian Cinema such as Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahad Faasil. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and it is a part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). A sequel of Vikram is planned.
RDX: Robert Dony Xavier
RDX: Robert Dony Xavier is possibly the best Malayalam action film ever. The film stars Shane Nigam as Robert, Antony Varghese as Dony, and Neeraj Madhav as Xavier. All three childhood friends are martial arts and Karate experts and are based in a small town in Kerala.
The film is directed by Nahas Hidayath and it revolves around Robert, Dony, and Xavier who avenges a local gangster and his gang for assaulting their families. The film also stars Lal, Babu Antony, and Baiju among others.
RDX: Robert Dony Xavier is one of the biggest successes of the Malayalam film industry and one of the best hardcore action films on martial arts.
Kaithi
Kaithi is a 2019 action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and a part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe). The film stars an ensemble cast of Karthi, Narain, Arjun Das, George Maryan, and Harish Uthaman among others.
Kaithi is one of the best Indian action movies. It features actor Karthi as Dilli who is recently released from Chennai Central Jail but gets trapped in a massive fight between cops and gangsters.
Kaithi received highly positive reviews and emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2019. A sequel of Kaithi is under production.
Kill
Kill is certainly the best Indian action film ever. The film has received widespread critical acclaim in India, the USA, and Canada as well. Lionsgate and 87Eleven Productions who previously worked on the John Wick franchise have announced the English remake of the film. Upon its release in the USA, Kill received highly positive reviews from several distinguished critics.
The film stars debutant Lakshya as an NSG Commando (National Security Guard, India) who encounters a group of armed robbers in a moving train. The film features Raghav Juyal as the main antagonist.
Kill is a movie that shouldn’t be missed. The film is already available on Prime Video in the West and it will soon premiere on Hotstar in India.
Rocky Handsome
Rocky Handsome is a fast-paced action thriller film starring John Abraham as a ruthless ex-army man. The film is directed by Nishikant Kamat and it is a remake of the 2010 blockbuster film titled The Man From Nowhere.
Upon its release, Rocky Handsome received praise for its action by John Abraham but overall, the film received highly negative reviews and was a box office bomb.
