Disha Patani’s next film is scheduled to release this November
Disha Patani is one of the hottest, most beautiful, and most stunning actresses presently in the Indian Film Industry. She received extensive popularity in India after featuring in the 2016 biographical film on former Indian Cricketer and Captain of the Indian Cricket Team, MS Dhoni. The actress presently has several impending releases and she has already bagged one big film.
Disha Patani has bagged a horror comedy film with director and screenwriter Milap Zaveri. 2024 has been an excellent year for horror comedy films. Horror comedy films such as Munjya, Stree 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were released in 2024 and were commercially successful.
Now, Disha Patani along with actor Siddhant Chaturvedi have come on board for a 2025 yet untitled comedy horror film. The film will be directed by ace screenwriter Milap Zaveri.

As a film director, Milap Zaveri has received criticism for directing poor films such as Satyameva Jayate 2, Marjaavaan, and Maastizade. His directed films have constantly received negative reviews and have flopped at the box office. He is directing a comedy film titled Masti 4 and a horror comedy film with Disha Patani and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
As a screenwriter, Milap Zaveri has tasted success. He has received blockbuster films like Ek Villian, Housefull, Hey Baby, Shootout at Wadala, Ungli, Main Tera Hero, and many more.
It will be interesting to see how Milap Zaveri directs the first horror comedy genre film of his career.

On the work front, Disha Patani is presently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Kanguva’. Kanguva is a Tamil language epic action film starring Suriya and Bobby Deol in the lead roles. Bobby Deol plays the character of the main antagonist. Disha Patani is the only big actress part of Kanguva. It is not sure if it is a lead role for her or a guest appearance or a supporting role. Kanguva is set to release on 14 November 2024.
Kanguva is Disha Patani’s third release of the year 2024. She was previously seen playing supporting and key roles in films such as Yodha and Kalki 2898 AD.
Disha Patani’s first release of the year ‘Yodha’ starring Sidharth Malhotra and Raashi Khanna in the lead flopped at the box office. It was an action thriller film. Yodha received negative reviews and was commercially unsuccessful.
After Yodha, Disha Patani was seen next in Kalki 2898 AD her second film of the year. Kalki 2898 AD is an epic scientific action mythology film starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It is one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. The critically acclaimed film featured Disha Patani and Kamal Hassan in supporting and guest roles. Disha Patani might reprise her role in Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2.
As of now, Disha Patani is shooting the third part of the Welcome film franchise. The film is titled ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and it is set to release in 2025.
Besides a supporting and guest appearance in Kalki 2898 AD, Disha Patani has not been featured in any critically acclaimed film with her in the lead. Her last several films such as Ek Villain Returns, Radhe, Baaghi 2, and Yodha have received negative to poor reviews. Also, her acting skills are constantly criticized by the critics.
In 2021, Disha Patani got her biggest breakthrough by doing a female lead opposite Salman Khan in the action film Radhe. Disha Patani previously worked with Salman Khan in his 2019 drama film ‘Bharat’. But it was a guest appearance.
Radhe was Disha Patani’s biggest breakthrough and could have been a career-changing film for her. But Radhe was released digitally due to the peak COVID pandemic. Radhe received highly negative reviews and is considered as one of the worst films of Salman Khan. However, it became one of the most-watched films digitally owning to Khan’s stardom.
Disha Patani initially made her film debut with the Telugu film ‘Loafer’. She was paired with Varun Tej. The film flopped commercially proving to be a letdown for Disha Patani to achieve fame. Later, she achieved a bit of popularity by appearing in a music video Befikra with Tiger Shroff. Tiger and Disha dated for several years following their music video.
The only memorable of her is of Priyanka Jha from the biopic movie ‘MS Dhoni The Untold Story’. This movie was meant for her.
