Hera Pheri 1 & 2

The Hera Pheri film series is amongst the most unforgettable and treasured film franchises.
Released in 2002, Hera Pheri is a cult classic Hindi comedy movie. It is one of the greatest Indian films ever. The first part was directed by popular filmmaker Priyadarshan and was written by Neeraj Vora. The film starred Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal in title roles.

Hera Pheri is regarded as one of the best Indian comedy films ever. The dialogues or the movie are still popular and are used to create funny internet memes. A sequel titled Phir Hera Pheri was released in 2005 to widespread critical acclaim and huge acceptance from the audience. Neeraj Vora, writer of the first part directed the sequel.

Phir Hera Pheri starred an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Rimi Sen, Sharat Saxena, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Manoj Joshi among others. Like the first part, Phir Hera Pheri achieved cult classic status and is regarded as the best comedy film of all time.

A third part of the movie is under production.

Munna Bhai M.B.B.S

Munna Bhai M.B.B.S is actor Sanjay Dutt and director Rajkumar Hirani’s best work to date. It is one of the most critically acclaimed Hindi comedy movies. Today, Rajkumar Hirani is one of the biggest filmmakers in India. All of his films are either blockbusters or hits. He is one of the most respected Indian directors. He made his debut as a director and writer with Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.

Munna Bhai M.B.B.S starred Sanjay Dutt with his dad Sunil Dutt alongside Arshad Warsi, Boman Hirani, Gracy Singh, and Jimmy Shergil among others. Upon its release, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S was a major commercial success and won several awards including the National Film Award For Best Popular Film. A sequel titled Lage Raho Munna Bhai was released in 2006.

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited came as a blessing for director Rohit Shetty. Rohit Shetty was a new and inexperienced director during the filming of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Today he is one of the biggest directors in the country. Golmaal: Fun Unlimited is one of the most loved comedy films of all time. The comedy franchise has evolved with our four parts and all the films are unsurpassed in comedy. But the first part remains special.

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited starred an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Mishra, Rimi Sen, and Mukesh Tiwari among others.

Welcome

Welcome (2007) is a comedy romantic film starring an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor, and Nana Patekar among others. It is considered one of the best comedy films of all time and director Aneez Bazmee’s best work. The film was a major commercial success.

A sequel titled Welcome Back was released in 2015 which was commercially successful but failed to match the expectations. A third part titled Welcome to the Jungle is slated to release in 2025.

Chup Chup Ke

Chup Chup Ke is that film that starts slow. But as the film progresses you will find it entertaining with several comedy sequences. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film was released in 2006 to positive reviews. The film starred an ensemble cast of Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Neha Dhupia, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Suniel Shetty, Shakti Kapoor and Anupam Kher.

No Entry

No Entry is a comedy film starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta, Celina Jaitly, and Boman Irani. The comedy film is directed by Aneez Bazmee.

The film revolves around three male friends who try to cheat their respective wives for another girl. No Entry was a major commercial success at the box office. Though the film received mixed to positive reviews.

A remake of the film has been announced with Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor.

Dhamaal

Dhamaal is a 2007 adventure comedy-drama film starring an ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Javed Jaffrey, and Aashish Chowdhary. The film is directed by Indra Kumar. The film received positive reviews and was commercially successful.

The film also stars Asrani, Sanjay Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Vijay Raaz, Tiku Talsania, and Prem Chopra in supporting roles.
A sequel titled Double Dhamaal was released in 2011 to highly negative reviews but was commercially successful.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a cult classic horror comedy film. It is regarded as the best horror comedy film of all time. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Manoj Joshi, Asrani and Vikram Gokhale among others.

A sequel titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released in 2022 after the covid pandemic. The film emerged as a major commercial success with Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, and Kaira Advani in the lead roles.

The third part of the film releases soon. It stars Kartik Aaryan, Tripti Dimri, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Rajpal Yadav among others.

Dhol

Dhol is an action-comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. The film was a moderate success and received positive reviews.

The film starred an ensemble cast of Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Sharman Joshi, Tanushree Dutta, and Om Puri among others.

De Dana Dan

De Dana Dan is a 2009 comedy film directed by Priyadarshan. The film is an adaption of the Hollywood film Screwed.

De Dana Dan stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Chunky Pandey, Manoj Joshi, Paresh Rawal, Sameera Reddy, Tinnu Anand, Neha Dhupia, Archana Puran Singh, Asrani, Johnny Lever, Shakti Kapoor and Sharat Saxena among others.
