Bollywood actress Kiara Advani has officially joined the cast of the 2026 film Toxic. She will be playing the lead actress alongside Kannada and South Film Superstar Yash. Kiara Advani is popularly known for featuring as Sakshi Rawat in the 2016 biographical film on MS Dhoni titled MS Dhoni The Untold Story.

Toxic is an upcoming action film starring an ensemble cast of Yash, Kiara Advani, Akshay Oberoi, Huma Qureshi, and Nayanthara among others. The film reportedly also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and her husband Saif Ali Khan. But their casting in the film is yet to be confirmed whereas Kiara Advani has already started shooting for the same.
Toxic is a large scale and high budget action film. it is directed by critically acclaimed actress and director Geethu Mohandas. Toxic is a Kannada film that will be released in Pan-India in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
As we speak, the film is currently being filmed in Karnataka and Mumbai. Toxic was initially scheduled to release in 2025 but now according to the reports, the film may release by the end of 2026. The shooting of the film got delayed for numerous reasons.
Recently the shooting of Toxic came to a halt due to allegations of cutting several trees on the film’s sets.
Yash and Kiara Advani
Yash and Kiara Advani would be playing each other’s love interest in the film. toxic is Yash’s first film following the widespread and mammoth success of the KGF film franchise. Yash will be shooting for Toxic for almost a year. It is a massive scale film that will be shot for one and a half years.
For Kiara Advani, Toxic is her third South Indian film. She was previously featured in the 2018 film Telugu film ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ opposite Mahesh Babu. Her second south film is the 2025 Telugu film ‘Game Changer’ opposite Ram Charan. The film is set to release on 10 January 2025.
Toxic is Kiara Advani’s third Pan-India film. Her upcoming film releases are Game Changer, War 2 (2025) with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, and Toxic (2026) with Yash. She will also play the lead heroine role in Don 3 opposite Ranveer Singh.
The budget of Toxic is over 300 crores. Yash’s remuneration for Toxic is almost 100-120 crores while Kiara Advani will be paid 12-15 crores.
Yash today is one of the biggest superstars in the country. His last film ‘KGF Chapter 2’ earned over 1000 crores globally. Besides Toxic, Yash will also be seen in Dangal director Nitesh Tiwari’s 2026 epic film Ramayana in which Yash portrays the character of Raavana. The film Ramayana is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. Yash is the co-producer of the film alongside Namit Malhotra.
There would be two parts of the Ramayana film. The first part will be released in Diwali 2026 with the second part again coming in Diwali 2027. After wrapping up Ramayana, Yash will begin the shooting of KGF Part 3.
