Kick is a 2014 stylish Hindi action film
Salman Khan and his production friend Sajid Nadiadwala have announced Kick 2. They have not announced it officially but shared a small glimpse of Salman Khan as Devil. The duo is presently shooting for their upcoming hardcore action thriller Sikandar.
Sikandar
Earlier this year, Producer Sajid Nadiadwala made the biggest announcement of the year by announcing a film with Salman Khan. Salman Khan is a close friend of Sajid Nadiadwala. A few months ago, they announced their upcoming high-budget action thriller film titled Sikandar. The film is scheduled to release in EID 2025 in March or April.
Sikandar stars Salman Khan in the main lead besides Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Pratik Babbar, Jatin Sarna, and Nawab Shah among others. The film is directed by highly successful and recognized filmmaker A R Murugadoss. The Mumbai schedule of Sikandar was wrapped up recently. The film will be next shot in Hyderabad and some European countries.
Kick 2
While filming some action scenes of Sikandar, producer Sajid Nadiadwala candidly clicked an attractive photo of Salman Khan and announced the sequel of Kick. In 2014, Salman Khan starred in Kick which was directed and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
Kick 2 will be announced officially only after the release of Sikandar. For now, Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that the sequel film is in the making, and pre-production work has begun. The script is already narrated to Salman Khan and it’s a big yes from him. He liked the script.
Kick (2014) featured Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Jacqueline Fernandez among others. Except Salman Khan none of the actors who featured in the first part of the film will reprise their role in the sequel. Kick 2 will have a new star cast along with Salman Khan and a fresh story.
The expectations are sky high from Kick 2 as Kick 1 was a major commercial success. the film had its global release during Eid in 2014 on 25 July 2014. The film had generally received positive reviews and emerged as a blockbuster. Kick (2014) earned over 400 crores globally and over 250 crores in Hindi in India.
Kick (2014) was shot in Glasgow, Scotland where Salman Khan and Randeep Hooda shot a chase sequence featuring a few police cars, a bus, and a helicopter. A major scene from the climax of the film was shot at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. The film was also shot in Mumbai and Delhi.
A R Murugadoss who is presently directing Salman Khan in Sikandar was earlier supposed to direct Khan in Kick (2014). However, the collaboration could not materialize due to A R Murugadoss’s commitment to other films. If Sikandar works and performs extraordinary, A R Murugadoss might direct Salman Khan again in Kick 2.
Besides Sikandar, Kick 2, Salman Khan is also doing an action film with Jawan director Atlee. A sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is planned too. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) is Salman Khan’s best and highest-grossing film ever.
