    Bollywood or the entire Indian film industry is a strange place to be. Not everyone can sustain their career like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, and Ajay Devgn who have managed to stay relevant in the industry for the past few decades. Especially Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. But just like Sunny Deol who has made a rocking comeback in films. Here are a few actors who should make a comeback in movies and the audience will surely love to have them back. They just need one good film and that’s it.

    Aamir Khan

    Aamir Khan is a living legend of the Indian film industry. He is practically not missing from films. His last movie came in 2022 with Laal Singh Chaddha. But it has been a decade since he starred in a good movie and delivered a blockbuster. His previous successful film came in 2016 with Dangal. He has featured and delivered some of the best and most successful films ever. But presently he is a bit underconfident.

    Following the disappointment of Thugs of Hindustan (2018) and Laal Singh Chaddha (2022), Aamir Khan even thought of retiring from the film industry. But after seeing the comeback of Sunny Deol and Shahrukh Khan in 2023, Aamir is assured of making a comeback. He will be seen next in a sports drama film titled ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ which is scheduled to release in December 2024 or early 2025. It is the comeback film of Aamir Khan.

    Anushka Sharma

    Before her wedding to star cricketer Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma was considered one of the biggest and most successful actresses ever. She is one of the rare actresses who has worked with all three major superstars and Khans of India, Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aamir Khan. She was one of the leading actresses of Bollywood for a decade but her last film came in 2018.

    Anushka Sharma took a major hiatus from films after her wedding to Virat Kohli. The actress decided to focus on her private life with her husband and kids. But surely her fans and the audience are awaiting to witness her on big screens once again. Anushka Sharma was supposed to make a comeback with a sports biopic film on female cricketer Jhulan Goswami. The film is titled Chakda Xpress and is ready to be released directly on Netflix. But the release of Chakda Xpress is uncertain as the makers of the film and Netflix representatives are having creative disagreements.

    Abhay Deol

    Movie buffs on social media are demanding Abhay Deol to make a comeback. Abhay Deol is and has been one of the most appealing actors in Bollywood. The actor rose to prominence after featuring the iconic movies like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), Dev. D (2009) and Zindagi Na Milengi Dobarra (2011). Zindagi Na Milengi Dobarra is his biggest commercial success and his best performance to date. Unfortunately, his road to fame suffered due to a lack of good opportunities. He was last seen in the 2023 Netflix show Trail By Fire which met critical acclaim. However, his last theatrical film came in 2022.

    Abhay Deol is cousin brother of actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. Sunny and Bobby have made a rocking comeback in the film industry and Abhay definitely needs to follow them. Even if it’s a negative role or the main antagonist, Abhay Deol should look to make a solid comeback in movies.

    Dino Morea

    In 1999, Dino Morea won the Gladrags supermodel contest and arrived in Bollywood with a bang. Back in 2000, he was one of the most handsome actors to exist in Bollywood. But sadly, his movie career never really took off. He featured in several box office failures and disappointing films. But he is dedicated to working hard and making a comeback. We will surely love to have Dino Morea back in Hindi films. But as of now, he is focusing on other regional films and web series.

    Dino Morea was last seen in films like Bandra and Solo which are Malayalam films. He also played the main antagonist in the Telugu film Agent which was a commercial flop. Dino Morea is presently shooting for Netflix’s second season of Rana Naidu. The series will be released in 2025 and will feature Dino Morea in the pivotal role.

    Imran Khan

    Imran Khan is the nephew of Aamir Khan. He made his acting debut with the film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na is one of the most loved Hindi rom-com movies ever. The film was a box office success and received critical acclaim. Imran Khan earned the title of chocolate boy and achieved massive fame after featuring in Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. His 2011 comedy film Delhi Belly is considered a cult film. Even today fans are requesting him to make a comeback with a similar film.

    Imran Khan recently activated his Instagram account where he shared several behind-the-scenes pictures of his previous films and his fans got nostalgic. According to the reports, Imran Khan is serious about making a comeback. Even if it is a film or web series, Imran Khan is reading several scripts, meeting several directors, and will soon announce his comeback project.

    Fardeen Khan

    Between 2000 – 2010, Fardeen Khan was one of the most popular actors in Bollywood. He was considered the next big Khan after Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Aamir Khan. He featured in several successful films like Jungle, No Entry, Shaadi No 1, Hey Baby, and All the Best. The actor took a major hiatus of a decade to focus on his business ventures and give time to his family. Fardeen’s last theatrical film came in 2010. But he is back.

    Fardeen Khan has made a comeback in films. As of now, he was part of three major releases of 2024. Earlier this year he featured in Netflix and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s show Heeramandi. He also featured in the 2024 film Khel Khel Mein which was released recently in theaters. His recent release is a film titled Visfot which aired on the digital platform Jio Cinema. The actor will be seen next in the fifth installment of the Houseful film series. He is currently shooting for the same.

    Zayed Khan

    In 2004, Zayed Khan alongside Shahrukh Khan starred in Farah Khan’s directional film Main Hoon Na. Main Hoon Na is one of the most popular Hindi films ever. Upon its release, Main Hoon Na was commercially successful and received positive reviews. Shahrukh Khan was already a big star. But Main Hoon Na came as a blessing for Zayed Khan who was new in the film industry and achieved a star status.

    After Main Hoon Na, Zayed Khan received ample of opportunities and featured in many films. But his film career never really grew. His last theatrical film came in 2015. The actor has many friends and relatives in the film industry who would love to work with him again. He is still popular, young, and good-looking. He can surely feature as an antagonist in an film or web series.

    Arjun Rampal

    Arjun Rampal is loved by everyone. Even at age 51, he is presently one of the handsomest actors in the industry. A decade ago, he was one of the leading actors in Bollywood. He was featured in several successful films like Om Shanti Om, Ra. One, Raajneeti, Houseful, Don, and Aankhen. Arjun Rampal never really went away as he had several film releases in the past few years. However, he is not getting an appropriate role that will suit his personality.

    Arjun Rampal’s next film is a big project that will surely mark his big comeback. The actor will feature in Aditya Dhar’s next drama directional film. Aditya Dhar previously directed URI. Besides Arjun Rampal, the film features an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. Arjun Rampal is also shooting for the next season of Rana Naidu.

    Akshaye Khanna

    Akshaye Khanna needs to make a comeback. He is one of the best actors to have worked in Bollywood ever. He has remarkable acting skills. He has been featured in several commercially successful films like Border, Dil Chaata Hai, Race, and Hulchul. Sadly, his career took a downturn after 2010 and he decided to do lesser films.

    Akshaye Khanna’s last film came in 2022. He featured in a pivotal role in Drishyam 2 which is his highest-grossing film ever. Fortunately, he has quite a promising lineup for 2024 and 2025. He will be seen next in the periodic epic drama film Chaava. The film stars Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambaji and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb. The film is set to release in December 2024. Akshaye Khanna will also play a pivotal role in Aditya Dhar’s upcoming which stars an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal.

    Kapil Sharma is one of India’s greatest standup comedians. He is presently the most popular comedian and the highest-paid comedian in India. He is presently doing his super successful TV show with his crew. But he is keen to take up acting projects as well.

    In 2023, Kapil Sharma drama film Zwigato. Zwigato is a film about a food delivery rider and his daily struggle in life. The film was directed by Nandita Das. Zwigato shown at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. Upon its release in India, Zwigato received critical acclaim but it was Kapil Sharma who had impressed everyone with his marvelous acting skills. It was his best performance in movies. Due to his big show, Kapil Sharma gets less film offers. However, he is expected to star in the sequel of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon.

    Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is the best road-trip Indian film.

    Baahubali series, KGF series, YRF Universe, Animal series, and Pushpa series, the new Indian audience is gripped with massive high-budget and large-scale films.

    But in 2011, a film directed by Zoya Akhtar came and became one of the best films ever made in the history of cinema. And, even after a decade, no filmmaker has ever tried to make a film in this genre.

    We are talking about the much-loved Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, one of the finest Indian films ever. Released on 15 July 2011, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is a road comedy adventure drama film directed and written by talented filmmaker Zoya Akhtar. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin among the leads. It is certainly the best adventure road trip film in India. The movie is shot in many locations such as Delhi, London, and Spain. The film was made on a budget of 45 crores. The film is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

    Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara tells the story of three childhood school friends Kabir Dewan (Abhay Deol), Imran Qureshi (Farhan Akhtar), and Arjun Saluja (Hrithik Roshan) who plan a few epic adventure sports and road trips before the wedding of Kabir Dewan to Natasha Arora (Kalki Koechlin) and they meet Laila (Katrina Kaif) in between.

    Upon its release, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara received widespread critical acclaim and praise for its direction, screenplay, story, editing, songs, and performance of the lead cast. The film won the Best Film, Best Film (critics), Best Supporting Actor (Farhan Akhtar), and the Best Director award at the Filmfare Awards 2012. The film won several other awards including the National Film Award.

    Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara remains the best adventure comedy-drama Indian film. But in 2015, director Zoya Akhtar brought another comedy-drama adventure film titled ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. The film was shot in many locations such as India, France, Italy, Turkey, Spain, and Tunisia. Dil Dhadakne Do was another adventure drama film by Zoya Akhtar and it emerged as a commercial success but failed to match the standard of an adventure drama film set by Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Dil Dhadakne Do was criticized for its runtime and climax. Though the film is a good one-time watch. The film starred an ensemble cast of Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Rahul Bose, and Vikrant Massey among others.

    The film was released in 2011 and fans are demanding a sequel

    Today, even in 2024, the audience is still watching and loving Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and demanding a sequel. In 2012 and 2013, the director of the movie Zoya Akhtar and producer Farhan Akhtar expressed their belief that there is no need for a sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. But in the last few years, the makers and the lead cast have shown their interest in coming back with a sequel. The makers and the cast of the film recently celebrated the 13th anniversary of the film and showed interest in part 2. But nothing has been officially announced yet. In the future, Zoya Akhtar will surely come with another adventure comedy-drama film but, certainly, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2 will never happen.

    Zoya Akhtar’s recent directional work includes the musical drama film Gully Boy (2019) with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The film was a massive commercial success and critically acclaimed. In the meantime, she produced and wrote a film titled Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Netflix and a show titled Dahaad for Amazon Prime Video. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan starred Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey, and Adarsh Gaurav while Dahaad starred Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Verma, and Gulshan Devaiah. Both the projects of Zoya Akhtar were successful and huge on the platform.

    In 2019, Zoya Akhtar directed, wrote, and produced a series titled ‘Made In Heaven’. Made In Heaven is a romantic drama show and it is amongst the best shows ever made in India. in 2023, Zoya Akhtar released the second part of the show which was demanded profoundly by the viewers. The show stars an ensemble cast of Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sharbh, Shashank Arora, and Shivani Raghuvanshi among others. Made In Heaven is one of the best and most watched critically acclaimed shows on Amazon Prime Video.

    As of now, Hrithik Roshan is stepping in to do higher-budget and large-scale commercial films. His last few hits W1 (2019) and F (2023) are large-scale commercial films that were successful. He is presently shooting for W2 (2025) which is amongst the most awaited films of 2025. It also stars South superstar JR NTR as the main antagonist. After W2, Hrithik Roshan might move to Krrish 4. However, he has asked Zoya Akhtar to plan the sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

    Farhan Akhtar who is a noted producer is busy with his production company Excel Entertainment which has produced a couple of successful web series and commercial successful films. His upcoming and biggest project is D3 with Ranveer Singh reprising the role of Don replacing Shahrukh Khan. Farhan is the real brother of Zoya Akhtar and even he has asked his sister to plan the sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

    Abhay Deol’s career has fluctuated post-Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. He is doing fewer projects. He was last seen in a Netflix show titled Trail By Fire. Though he is very much interested in doing the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara sequel. Whereas Kalki Koechlin is busy with her projects.

    Besides Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif is also a member of the YRF Universe. She was last seen in T3 opposite Salman Khan. She recently got married to actor Vicky Kaushal. As of now, she has no project in hand.

    A sequel of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara might never happen.
