    Amazon Prime’s The Family Man is India’s most successful show

    Amazon Prime’s The Family Man is coming back with its third season in 2026. The Family Man is a comedy drama series directed by director duo Raj & DK for Amazon Prime India. The show features Indian movie actor Manoj Bajpayee in the lead. The previous two seasons of The Family Man have received widespread critical acclaim and are amongst the most-watched Indian shows ever.

    The third season of The Family Man will have its original cast reprising their roles. Whereas the makers have signed critically acclaimed actor Jaideep Ahlawat and famous actress Nimrit Kaur for the antagonist roles. Jaideep and Nimrit are the main villains of The Family Man Season 3 and they have begin the shooting for the same. Besides Jaideep Ahlawat and Nimrit Kaur, the third season of The Family Man is going to introduce several new actors playing quite interesting characters. The Family Man Season 3 will be shot for several months in 2025. According to the reports, makers are even planning to shoot the show in London and a few other European cities.

    Before coming on board for Prime Video’s The Family Man Season 3, Jaideep Ahlawat has earlier featured in the OTT show ‘Pataal lok’. Pataal Lok is a drama show for Amazon Prime Video with Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead. It is one of the most critically acclaimed Indian shows. Jaideep Ahlawat will be seen in the second season of the show.

    The first season of The Family Man featured popular Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav as Moosa Rehman, the main antagonist whereas popular Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu was featured as Rajalakshmi Sekharan, the main antagonist of The Family Man season two.

    The Family Man is one of the best shows available on Prime Video. It is one of the rarest Indian shows that has been accepted largely by audiences of other countries. The series was announced in 2018 and the show was shot in Mumbai, Delhi, and Ladakh. The first season was released in 2019 to an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers and widespread critical acclaim with praise for its story, direction, production, editing, and performance of the cast. It eventually became the most-watched show on the digital platform.

    Interestingly, The Family Man was originally planned with noted actor Akshaye Khanna who liked the script, and directors Raj & DK had almost locked him as the lead actor of the show. But Manoj Bajpayee replaced Akshaye Khanna in the end due to budget restrictions. According to the reports, Akshaye Khanna had charged a huge amount and the makers weren’t ready for it. Also, with Manoj Bajpayee stepping in to do the series, Raj & DK made several changes to the script and added several new elements. Raj & DK, Manoj Bajpayee, and Amazon Prime Video had announced the series in 2018.

    The second season of The Family Man was announced in 2019 and shooting of the same began in the same year.

    The Family Man season two was released in 2021 again to a blockbuster response and became the most-watched show in just a few days.

    The Family Man season three is set to release early in 2026. The cast and crew of The Family Man have begin the shooting in Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.

  • Actress Ananya Pandey Announces Her Debut TV Show

    Actress Ananya Pandey’s debut TV show is set to release soon

    With no theatrical film release in 2024, Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey is soon going to have two big digital releases on Amazon Prime and Netflix. The actress recently announced her debut TV show/series for Amazon Prime. The show is titled ‘Call Me Bae’.

    Call Me Bae stars an ensemble cast of Ananya Pandey, Vir Das, Varun Sood, Gurfateh Pirzada, Lisa Mishra, Mini Mathur, and Vihaan Samat among others. The principal shooting of the show began in 2023 with an official announcement in early 2024. The comedy-drama series is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Colin D’Cunha with Apoorva Mehta acting as the executive producer. The show is written by Ishita Mohitra, Rohit Nair, and Samina Motlekar.

    The TV Show is set to release on 6 September 2024. The trailer of Call Me Bae received mixed reviews. The show features Ananya Pandey as a girl from the rich neighborhood of South Delhi who arrives in Mumbai for a job at a news channel. The show will be aired in 150+ countries in English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil languages. A second season of Call Me Bae is planned which will air after 2026.

    Ananya Pandey’s second release of 2024 is a Hindi drama film directed by noted filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane. The film is titled ‘CTRL’ and is scheduled to release on 4 October 2024 on Netflix. The film also stars Vihaan Samat. The show is written by Vikramaditya Motwane, Avinash Sampath, and Sumukhi Suresh. The show is produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Arya Menon. Vikramaditya Motwane previously directed the award-winning and widespread critically acclaimed show ‘Sacred Games’ for Netflix.     Karan Johar launched Ananya Pandey in the 2019 Hindi film Student of the Year 2. The film starred T Shroff, Ananya Pandey, Tara Sutaria and Adiya Seal. Student of the Year 2 is a sequel to Karan Johar’s 2012 directional Student of the Year 1 which received positive reviews and was a commercial success. The rom-com film generally received positive reviews due to Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar’s impressive performance. Pati Patni Aur Woh was a commercial success only because of Kartik’s stardom in India which is rising strikingly. The film was directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.

    Ananya Pandey’s next hit film came opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Dream Girl 2. Dream Girl 2 is a sequel to the 2019 blockbuster film Dream Girl. Released in 2019, Dream Girl received positive reviews and was one of the best Hindi comedy films of 2019. Dream Girl 2 was a big commercial success due to its first part and the performance of Ayushmann Khurrana. The film also starred Ananya Pandey as the female lead.

    Ananya Pandey’s fourth and last theatrical release was ‘Liger’ which came in 2022. The film was directed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar and Charmme Kaur. The film starred Vijay Deverkonda and Ananya Pandey in the lead. The film also had a special appearance by famous American boxer and actor Mike Tyson. Made on a budget of 125 crores, Liger released on 25 August 2022 to negative reviews becoming a major box office disaster and a commercial flop.

    After Liger, Ananya Pandey starred in Shakun Batra’s directed film titled ‘Gehraiyaan’. The film starred Deepika Padukone, Ananya Pandey, Siddhanth Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa. The film was released on 11 February 2022 on Amazon Prime. Gehraiyaan was initially planned to be released in theatres. Gehraiyaan received mixed to negative reviews with critics criticizing its screenplay, storyline, and climax. But, it was one of the most-watched films on Prime Video.

    In 2023, Ananya Pandey starred film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan which was released on Netflix. The film starred Siddhanth Chaturvedi, Ananya Pandey, and Adarsh Gaurav. The film was written by Zoya Akhtar and was directed by Arjun Varain Singh. The film received positive reviews.

    Ananya Pandey’s next theatrical release is a periodic drama film with Akshay Kumar. The film is titled Shankara and it is produced by Karan Johar. She will also reprise her role in Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 alongside Kartik Aaryan, and Dream Girl 3 alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The actress was last seen in a special appearance in Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Amy Virk’s 2024 release ‘Bad News’. She will also feature in an untitled romantic film opposite Siddhanth Chaturvedi.
