    Citadel: Honey Bunny is an Indian adaption of the Hollywood English series Citadel (2023) starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra produced by the Avengers fame director Russo Brothers.

Despite being one of the most powerful people in the Indian Film Industry, Aditya Chopra is an introvert and has rejected fame and celebrity status. He is quite private.

    Aditya Chopra under his production company Yash Raj Films has produced and delivered some of the best films of the Indian Film Industry. He has produced films such as ETT, TZH, W1, Pathaan, and T3. Aditya Chopra has also directed Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge which is considered as one of the best and one of the most influential Indian films ever.

    Aditya Chopra has produced big films such as T3, Pathaan, TZH, and W1 on a mammoth budget of 200-300 crores. The production cost of such stylish films is quite expensive. But these films had superstars like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, and Hrithik Roshan who are certified to deliver a blockbuster to their producer. But it is impossible to make such a high-budget film with a young actor.

    Varun Dhawan earlier in a media interaction revealed that Aditya Chopra declined an film with him.

    Varun Dhawan who was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny revealed that Aditya Chopra refused to do an film with him.

    Varun said that it was in 2020 when he met Aditya Chopra and director Maneesh Sharma, director of T3 at a badminton club. Varun stated Aditya Chopra is fond of big stylish films and he asked him to cast him in a similar film but Aditya declined to cast him in any film. Aditya Chopra said to Varun that he can’t produce such a high-budget with any young actor and he hasn’t reached the status where he can promise a film to emerge as a blockbuster. Only Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan can promise to deliver a blockbuster.

    However, Varun Dhawan expressed his gratitude to Prime Video and director duo Raj & DK who offered him Citadel: Honey Bunny. Citadel: Honey Bunny is a high-octane series featuring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

    Varun Dhawan will also be seen next in his much-awaited December release Baby John.

    Baby John is an upcoming big film starring Varun Dhawan in a never-before-seen avatar. It is directed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees and presented by Atlee. Atlee is one of the biggest directors in India who directed the 2023 blockbuster Jawan. Baby John is a Hindi remake of Atlee’s directed Tamil film Theri. The film also stars Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Rajpal Yadav among others. The film stars Varun Dhawan in the lead. Superstar Salman Khan makes a cameo appearance in the film.

According to her, she was incapable and bushed while shooting for Citadel: Honey Bunny and undergoing treatment at the same time. She suggested and sent recommendations of several other actresses who could fit the role replacing her. But director duo Raj & DK stood with her and shot the entire series.

    After watching the show, Samantha Ruth Prabhu stated that she is grateful that the makers didn’t replace her with any other actress. She is overwhelmed after watching her performance in the series.

    Citadel: Honey Bunny is the debut of Varun Dhawan on the digital platform. It’s his first show and he couldn’t have got any better opportunity than Citadel: Honey Bunny. While it’s a debut for Varun Dhawan, Citadel: Honey Bunny is the second TV show or web series for Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She had earlier made her debut with 2021 Prime Video’s most successful show The Family Man. Directors of Citadel: Honey Bunny are the directors of The Family Man as well. This is why they decided to continue their collaboration with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going to collaborate with Raj & DK for another big project for Netflix.

    Citadel: Honey Bunny is a prequel to the American TV series Citadel. Priyanka Chopra who played the title character of Nadia Sinh in Citadel is present in Citadel: Honey Bunny as a younger character.

    Citadel: Honey Bunny releases on 7th November. The filming of the series began in January 2023 in Serbia. Besides Serbia, Citadel: Honey Bunny is shot in Mumbai and Delhi as well.
