    Deepika Padukone’s Next Film

    Deepika Padukone is on a long maternity leave. She won’t return to work for almost a year. Deepika Padukone hasn’t announced anything due to her maternity leave. But her next few films are confirmed.

    Deepika Padukone was last seen in an extended guest appearance in Rohit Shetty’s 2024 release ‘Singham Again’. Rohit Shetty introduced Deepika Padukone as the new character Shakti Shetty.

    Rohit Shetty has confirmed that he is doing a female-centric film with Deepika Padukone. It will be the first female film from his Universe. The film is reportedly titled ‘Lady Singham’ and it is a standalone film of the Universe.

    Lady Singham will feature Deepika Padukone in the lead. She will portray the character of Shakti Shetty. The film will tell the story of Shakti Shetty, her childhood, her life, her parents, and her journey from a simple girl to becoming a top officer.

    Rohit Shetty said that he is presently writing the story and they have a plan. The director added that they introduced Deepika Padukone in the Universe only to give her a standalone female film. His team is writing the story and script and it might take several years to release the film. But it is confirmed that a female-led film is definitely coming.

    Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again has emerged as a major commercial success despite releasing against another big film.

    Singham Again received mixed to positive reviews with criticism for Deepika Padukone and T Shroff’s extended guest appearance. Many critics disliked Rohit Shetty’s vision of having so many extended guest appearances of big stars in a film. Several critics called Deepika Padukone’s character unnecessary and forced in the film and disliked her acting performance.

    Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead roles with Arjun Kapoor acting as the main antagonist. The film features Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, and T Shroff in extended guest appearances. The film also features Salman Khan in a 30-second cameo appearance in the post-credit scene.

  • Trailer Review: Singham Again Is A Cringe Feast

    Popular Indian filmmaker Rohit Shetty is returning with another film in 2024. His last film came in 2021 with the Akshay Kumar led Sooryavanshi. His 2024 mega release is Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn in the title role as Bajirao Singham. It is the fifth installment of the Rohit Shetty Universe. The film is set to release worldwide on 1st November.

    The trailer of the film was released recently in a grand way. With an extent of 4.50 minutes is the longest trailer ever for an Indian movie. As was announced earlier and as seen in the trailer, the other two other actors from the Rohit Shetty Universe, Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh as Sangram Bhalerao make an extended cameo appearance in the film. Rohit Shetty’s two new entrants from the his Universe, T Shroff and Deepika Padukone are introduced in Singham Again with an extended cameo appearance. Besides Ajay Devgn, Singham Again stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead and Arjun Kapoor as the main antagonist. The film also stars J Shroff, Ravi Kishan, and Dayanand Shetty in pivotal roles.

    Singham Again Trailer Review

    The trailer of Singham Again is 4.50 minutes which is quite frustrating. Every actor gets a lengthy introduction scene. The trailer is bursting with cringe dialogues and mindless stunt sequences. The entire film has CGI and VFX graphics.

    Singham Again might come as cringe to many. There are too many guest appearances and too many big stars featuring. And it doesn’t end here as one big superstar is set to make a guest appearance in the post-credit scenes of the film.

    Spoiler Alert: Entry of Chulbul Pandey

    It is indeed true. One of the biggest superstars of the nation Salman Khan is confirmed to make a guest appearance in the film. He will star and reprise his role of Chulbul Pandey from the Dabangg film franchise. Chulbul Pandey is the most iconic movie character in India. Rohit Shetty has often expressed his desire to introduce Chulbul Pandey in his Universe and this time he has done the unthinkable. It may be for a minute or two minutes but Salman Khan is confirmed to star as Chulbul Pandey in the post-credits scene of Singham Again.

    Salman Khan’s Dabanng was released in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim. The film emerged as a major commercial success with Dabangg becoming the biggest franchise. Salman Khan’s Dabangg character became an overnight sensation. It is still one of the most iconic characters in the history of Indian Cinema.

    Followed by Dabangg in 2010, Rohit Shetty brought Singham film in 2011. Singham was a remake of a Tamil film of the same name starring Suriya in the lead role. Besides Dabangg, Rohit Shetty’s Singham became another iconic character. And, today Rohit Shetty is combining both the franchise and brining both the iconic characters together.

    According to the sources, Rohit Shetty recently met Salman Khan on the sets of his upcoming film. It was a short discussion where the director seemed to have convinced Salman Khan to do a cameo in his film. Salman who shares a healthy and great equation with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn could not refuse. The makers of Singham Again are yet to shoot the post-credit scene of Salman Khan with the film releasing in just 20 days.

    Singham Again vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3

    Singham Again was earlier scheduled to be released on 15th August 2024 but got postponed due to post-production work. Later, the film was announced to release in November with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 was announced to be released in November last year. But now with Singham Again coming in November things have got uglier and this will affect the business of both of the films. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is one of the most awaited films of the year.

    Singham Again is jointly produced by Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn, and Jio Studios. Both the films Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 are sure shot superhits. But with Salman Khan making a cameo in Singham Again, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 would be anxious. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has to be a massive entertaining comedy horror film to become a blockbuster.  While Singham Again is a certified blockbuster even if it receives mixed reviews.

    We predict Singham Again to earn over 300 crores in Hindi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to earn over 150 crores in Hindi. If released solo, Singham Again has a chance of earning more than 500 crores in Hindi, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will earn over 300 crores in Hindi.

    Singham Again is set to become the highest grossing film for Rohit Shetty by beating the lifetime collection of his previous films ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Simmba’.

    Singham Again will release on Amazon Prime Video in January 2025.

  • Deepika Padukone Is Now Part of All The Leading Indian Film Franchises

    The future is bright for Deepika Padukone as she is now part of some of India’s leading film franchises such as YRF’s Universe, Rohit Shetty’s Universe, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra Universe and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki Cinematic Universe.

    Following her Hindi film debut in 2007, Deepika Padukone is now possibly the biggest female actor of the Indian Cinema. Her recent release Kalki 2898 AD has opened to international critical acclaim and is on the verge of emerging as one of the highest-grossing films in India.

    Deepika Padukone made her film debut with a 2006 Kannada language film titled ‘Aishwarya’. The actress is originally from Bangalore.

    However, she got her breakthrough by debuting in the 2007 Hindi language film ‘Om Shanti Om’. The film featured prominent Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan opposite her. The film Om Shanti Om gained widespread popularity and Deepika Padukone became a household name in India. Following the success of Om Shanti Om, Deepika starred in many hit films such as Bachna Ae Haseeno, Love Aaj Kaal, Desi Boyz, Housefull, Cocktail, and Race 2.

    In 2013, Deepika Padukone had her best movie year by starring in three major commercially successful films. Her first release of 2013 was Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. Released on 27 June 2024, Kalki 2898 AD has received international critical acclaim and is called one of the best films of the decade. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt. The film has already collected over 500 crores in four days and is expected to gross over 1500 crores making it one of the highest-grossing Indian films ever. With Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika is now part of one of the biggest film franchises in the Telugu Film Industry. The second part of Kalki 2898 AD is set to be released in the coming years.

    Besides, YRF’s Universe, Rohit Shetty’s Universe, and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika is also part of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra.

    Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra was one of the most awaited films ever since it was announced in 2014. The film faced numerous delays and was finally released in 2022. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and it is produced by Karan Johar.

    Brahmastra had opened to mixed reviews and was appreciated for its screenplay, execution, graphics, and VFX. The film was commercially successful. The film starred an ensemble cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna. The film had a guest appearance by Shahrukh Khan and an uncredited cameo of Deepika Padukone. The second part and the third part of Brahmastra are slated to release in the coming years with Deepika Padukone playing one of the leads.

    With being a major part of India’s four leading film franchises, Deepika has cemented her place as India’s leading female actor. However, she has a tough coemption from Alia Bhatt who has quite a few big films on her hand.

    As of now, Deepika will be taking a maternity film. All of her recent films have been released and she is not part of any film shooting schedule for at least a year. She will be seen next only in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Returns’ which releases in November 2024.
