    Stree 2 is a horror comedy film directed by Amar Kaushik. It is a franchise film and part of the MSU (Maddock Supernatural Universe). Maddock Supernatural Universe is a horror comedy genre Hindi film franchise.

    Stree 2 featured Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee among others.  The film was released theatrically on 15th August 2024. Upon its release globally, Stree 2 received widespread critical acclaim and positive reviews.

    Kalki 2898 AD

    Amaran is a 2024 Tamil biographical film. It features Sivakarthikeyan in the title role as Major Mukund Varadarajan aka Maddy.

    Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles, Kalki 2898 AD is a scientific film. The film also stars Kamal Hassan and Disha Patani in key roles. With a budget of 600 crores, Kalki 2898 AD is the most expensive Indian film ever. The film received positive reviews and widespread critical acclaim upon its release.     Chandu Champion

    A biographical sports drama film ‘Chandu Champion’ is amongst the most critically acclaimed films of the year. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead.

    Chandu Champion is based on the life of Murlikant Petkar, a veteran and India’s first Paralympics gold medalist. The film stars Kartik Aaryan as Murlikant Petkar with Vijay Raaz as his coach Ti Ali.

    Popular filmmaker Kabir Khan who is known for directing ETT and Bajrangi Bhaijaan directed the film. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.     Munjya

    A part of the Maddock Supernational Universe, Munjya is a horror comedy film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his production banner Maddock Films.

    Post the massive success of Stree (2018), Dinesh Vijan founded the Maddock Supernational Universe where the universe will comprise several high budget horror and supernational films. Varun Dhawan’s 2022 supernational comedy Bhediya and Munjya (2024) are part of the Maddock Supernational Universe with the newest entrant Stree (2024) that released yesterday and is set to emerge as the highest grossing Hindi film of the year.

    Munjya stars Abhay Verma, Sharvari, Sathyaraj, and Mona Singh among others. Munjya is the sleeper hit of the year. Made on a budget of 30 crores and with new actors, Munjya emerged as a blockbuster by grossing over 130 crores globally.

    Munjya is set to air on Disney + Hotstar soon.

    Bad News

    A successor to Akshay Kumar’s Good News (2019), Bad News is a comedy film directed by Anand Tiwari and produced by Karan Johar.

    Bad News stars Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the lead roles. The film received mixed to positive reviews and emerged as a big success by grossing over 100 crores globally. However, the film failed to match the expectations set by Good News (2019) starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljeet Dosanjh. Good News grossed over 300 crores globally upon its release in 2019. Tripti Dimri plays the female lead with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk as her love interests.

    Bad News is set to air on Amazon Prime soon.

    Mr. & Mrs. Mahi

    Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a sports drama romantic movie starring Rajkummar Rao and Jhanvi Kapoor in the lead. The film also stars Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, and Zarina Wahab in supporting roles. The film was released on 31 May 2024 to positive reviews and was a decent box office hit. The cricket drama film is related to legendary Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

    Ishq Vishk Rebound

    Ishq Vishk Rebound is a comedy romantic friendship film starring Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grrewal. The film is a sequel to the 2003 film Ishq Vishk.

    Released on 21 June 2024, Ishq Vishk Rebound is the Hindi debut movie of Hrithik Roshan’s niece, Pashmina Roshan. The film generally opened to poor reviews and was a flop at the box office.

    Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba

    Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is a romantic film starring Vikrant Massey, Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergil. It is a sequel to the 2021 Netflix film Hasseen Dillruba, which was the most watched Indian movie of the year. Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba generally received mixed to negative reviews and there won’t be a third part of the movie.

However, the film won’t be released anytime soon. The scientific film has received international critical acclaim and is called a landmark of Indian Cinema.

    If the box office is concerned, Kalki 2898 AD has already grossed over 600 crores globally in five days and is a huge success in the making. By the end of its theatrical run, Kalki 2898 AD will emerge as one of the highest-grossing films in India. Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Hassan. All the actors are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin.

    Pathaan 2

    Following the success of Pathaan, YRF has sped up the process of producing and releasing their films.     Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again could be the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2024. The film is all set to release in November 2024. This is the fifth film from Rohit Shetty’s Universe. Earlier films are Singham (2011), Singham Return (2014), Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021). Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn as Singham and Kareena Kapoor Khan as his wife.

    The film has special appearances from Ranveer Singh as Simmba and Akshay Kumar as Sooryavanshi. The other two actors who will be seen in Singham Again in a special appearance are Deepika Padukone and T Shroff. Whereas Arjun Kapoor will be seen in Singham Again as the main antagonist against Ajay Devgn.

    T vs P

    When it releases, T vs P could emerge as the highest-grossing film in India. T Vs P is YRF head Aditya Chopra’s dream project. The film will star two real-life good friends and two of India’s biggest movie stars Shahrukh Khan as Pathaan and Salman Khan as T in the leads.

    This film from YRF’s Universe, T Vs P will be the biggest Indian film ever with Salman and Shahrukh against each other. Director of W1 (2019) and Pathaan (2023), Sidharth Anand will direct T vs P.

    However, the film will take several years since YRF is currently producing other films from its Universe.     Following her Hindi film debut in 2007, Deepika Padukone is now possibly the biggest female actor of the Indian Cinema. Her recent release Kalki 2898 AD has opened to international critical acclaim and is on the verge of emerging as one of the highest-grossing films in India.

    Deepika Padukone made her film debut with a 2006 Kannada language film titled ‘Aishwarya’. The actress is originally from Bangalore.

Baahubali: The Beginning was released on 10 July 2015 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film’s story is written by SS Rajamouli’s father V. Vijayendra Prasad. It was the most expensive film of that time with a budget of over 200 crores.

Baahubali 2 was the first film to collect over 500 crores in India in Hindi language and remained the highest-grossing Hindi film until its record was broken in 2023 by Shahrukh Khan’s Pathaan.

Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2 folded Prabhas’s popularity all over India and he became the first Pan–India Actor. While the Baahubali film franchise became the first Pan–Pan-India film. After Baahubali, many filmmakers from the Kannada, Telugu, and Tamil film industries released their ambitious films in the Hindi language and met mammoth success. Films such as RRR, Saaho, Pushpa Film Franchise, KGF Part 1, and Part 2.

    It’s been years since Baahubali 2 happened and yet Prabhas remains the most popular and biggest actor of Indian Cinema.

    After Baahubali, Prabhas starred in Saaho which was released in 2019. Though the film did not perform well due to mixed to negative reviews it was the second consecutive film of Prabhas to collect over 100 crores on day one of its release. Most of his films such as Adipurush, Salaar, and Kalki 2898 AD have collected more than 100 crores on the day one of their release.

    Despite his mammoth popularity, Prabhas did face setbacks when his films opened in big numbers on day one of the release but didn’t withstand due to poor and negative reviews. In 2022, he starred in the periodic romantic film Radhe Shyam which received highly negative reviews and was a box office flop. In 2023, he starred in Om Raut’s directional film Adipurush. The film collected over 140 crores globally on day one. However, the film received highly negative reviews.. It was another box office flop for him after Radhe Shyam.

    In 2023 December, Prabhas starred in KGF fame Prashant Neel’s stunt-drama Salaar: Part 1 alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. Salaar: Part 1. The film generally received positive reviews and grossed over 800 crores globally. It was the fourth film of Prabhas to collect more than 100 crores on day one of its release. Earning over 100+ crores on the opening day of the film release is a dream of every actor. But doing it regularly is extraordinary work. Prabhas had done it five times. The film includes Baahubali 2, Saaho, Adipurush, Salaar Part 1, and his recent release Kalki 2898 AD.

    Kalki 2898 AD is Prabhas’s recent and biggest success. Kalki 2898 AD is an epic scientific stunt film starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Hassan in lead roles and Disha Patani among others in supporting roles. The film also stars SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverkonda, and Ram Gopal Verma in special appearances. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin. Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most expensive Indian films. The film is made on a budget of 600 crores.

    Kalki 2898 AD collected over 190 crores globally on its opening day. The film generally received positive reviews. Kalki 2898 AD has grossed over 300 crores in three days. The film is expected to collect more than 1500 crores globally making it one of the highest-grossing films ever.

    At 44, Prabhas is the biggest actor in Indian Cinema with all of his films doing unthinkable box office business. And he has quite a few promising films ahead. Only time will tell how many more box office records his films will register in the future.

    In the future, Prabhas is going to star in the second part of Salaar and the second part of Kalki 2898 AD. Besides, his next release is a film titled ‘The Raja Saab’ which released in 2025. In 2025, Prabhas will start the shooting of a film titled ‘Spirit’. Spirit is an upcoming stunt drama film directed by Kabir Singh and Animal fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

    Despite his filmmaking style attracting a lot of criticism, Sandeep Reddy Vanga remains one of the most demanded filmmakers in India. His next film with Prabhas will surely create a ridiculous hype.
