    The film was released on 15th August 2024. Khel Khel Mein released with the drama film Vedaa and the horror comedy film Stree 2 on the release day. Stree 2 emerged as a mega blockbuster and the highest grossing Hindi film in India ever while Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa flopped.

    Khel Khel Mein was directed by Mudassar Aziz and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, and Vipul D Shah. The film was shot in Mumbai, Udaipur and London.

    The film is reportedly made on a budget of 100 crores including fees of 20 crores for its lead actor Akshay Kumar. Khel Khel Mein earned over 55 crores in India in over a month. The film could have easily earned over 100 crores if it had been released a few weeks later and would have avoided the release with Stree 2 and Vedaa.

Sarfira is an official Hindi remake of the 2020 Tamil Film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ starring Suriya, Aparna Balamurali, and Paresh Rawal. The film is based on the life of G. R. Gopinath who founded a low-cast airline in India. Soorarai Pottru was released in 2020 on an OTT platform and received widespread critical acclaim. The film even won five awards at the 68th National Film Awards. The same director of Soorarai Pottru is directing the Hindi version titled Sarfira. Owning to the success of Soorarai Pottru and its story, Sarfira is expected to do well at the box office and might be Akshay Kumar’s comeback film. The trailer of Sarfira has been received well by the audience. However, the film somehow has to do at least 100 crore business in India to be considered a success.

    Post Sarfira, Akshay Kumar will star in the films Khel Khel Mein and Sky Force. Khel Khel Mein is an official remake of a 2016 Italian film called Perfect Strangers. Perfect Strangers is a comedy drama film that has been remade in over 20 languages.     After Khel Khel Mein and Sky Force, Akshay Kumar will reprise his role of Sooryavanshi by making a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s release Singham 3 from the universe. Akshay Kumar will also be seen doing a guest appearance in the Telugu fantasy film Kannappa.
