    De De Pyaar De 2 is set to release in 2025

    The sequel for Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s De De Pyaar De has officially been announced. The first part was released in 2019. The shooting for the second part has already begin with Ajay Devgn.

    De De Pyaar De (2019) is a Hindi romantic comedy film starring Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead roles. The film also features Javed Jaffrey, Tabu, Jimmy Shergil, Alok Nath, and Kumud Mishra in the supporting roles.

    De De Pyaar De (2019) is about a couple with an age gap of about 25 years, played by Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh.

    Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) are Indians who meet in London and fall in love and want to get married. Ashish has separated from his wife Manju (Tabu) who lives in India with their kids. Whereas, Ayesha wants to break up with his boyfriend Aakash (Sunny Singh).

    Later, Ashish decides to introduce Ayesha to his parents and his ex-wife and they arrive in India.

    As the film follows, Ashish and Ayesha try to hide their relationship with everyone and what follows next is a gigantic booboo of misunderstanding and comedy.

    The film ends with Ashish’s family accepting Ayesha. But in the post-credit scene, Ayesha argues with Ashish to meet her parents.

    Now in De De Pyaar De 2, Ashish (Ajay Devgn) will go to meet Ayesha’s parents (Rakul Preet Singh) with lots of misunderstanding, confusion, and comedy.

    De De Pyaar De 2 is currently being filmed in Amritsar, Punjab, India and later the film will be filmed in London. The film is set to release globally in May 2025.

    Earlier, actor Anil Kapoor had joined the cast of De De Pyaar De 2. He was signed to play the role of Ayesha’s dad. But later Anil Kapoor opted out of the project for another big film. R Madhavan has replaced Anil Kapoor and has come on board to play the role of Ayesha’s father.

    De De Pyaar De 2 is already one of the most awaited films of 2025. The first part of the film was a huge success on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar. Upon its release, De De Pyaar De (2019) received mixed to positive reviews. However, when released in theatres, De De Pyaar De didn’t achieve big numbers at the box office. The film earned just 110 crores in India. But De De Pyaar De 2 is expected to earn over 200 crores in India considering its popularity on OTT platforms.

    De De Pyaar De (2019) is directed by Akiv Ali while the second part will be directed by Anshul Sharma. The film is written by noted filmmaker Luv Ranjan. Luv Ranjan is highly known for directing, producing, and writing several side-splitting romantic comedy movies. Both parts of De De Pyaar De are jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan.

    Popular and stunning Indian actress Rakul Preet Singh is waiting to shoot for her character in the sequel De De Pyaar De. Rakul Preet Singh is a well-known name. Before moving into the Bollywood and Hindi film industry, Rakul Preet Singh was part of the South film fraternity and has featured in several popular Telugu and Tamil films but presently the actress is struggling to deliver a hit film. Previously, she has also lost several big films.

    In an interview, Rakul Preet Singh spoke about her early days of struggle and getting replaced in a big film.

    The actress revealed that she was in college and studying for her exams. She used to take modeling assignments and was living in a locality in Mumbai. And she thought it would be okay if she lost one of the two films. She was signed for Prabhas’s 2011 film Mr. Perfect and she shot with the actor for a few days. During that time Rakul Preet Singh went to Delhi for her exams where she got a call from the makers that she had been replaced. Actress Kajal Aggarwal had replaced Rakul Preet Singh in Mr. Perfect. Rakul Preet Singh said it was a business call as Prabhas and Kajal’s other film was released during that period of time and everyone loved their chemistry. So, the makers of Mr. Perfect thought of repeating the same duo in their movie.

    Rakul Preet Singh also revealed that she lost the biographical film on Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni titled MS Dhoni The Untold Story.

    MS Dhoni’s biopic film was released in 2016 to widespread critical acclaim. The film emerged as a major commercial success. It was directed by noted filmmaker Neeraj Pandey and featured Sushant Singh Rajput as MS Dhoni. The film starred Disha Patani as Priyanka, MS Dhoni’s love interest. The film also starred Kiara Advani as Sakshi, MS Dhoni’s wife.

    The role of Priyanka (played by Disha Patani) was first offered to Rakul Preet Singh. The actress revealed that she was heartbroken as she got replaced by such an amazing film. The actress revealed that she was shooting for another Telugu film and she had committed to them but her dates couldn’t match with MS Dhoni’s film. So, director Neeraj Pandey replaced her with Disha Patani. Rakul Preet Singh also revealed that she did another film with Neeraj Pandey after getting replaced in MS Dhoni’s biopic film.

    The last several films of Rakul Preet Singh have flopped or received poor reviews. Her last hit film with positive reviews came in 2019. She starred opposite Ajay Devgn in the romantic comedy movie De De Pyaar De. A sequel of the same has been announced and is set to release in 2025. Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh will reprise their role with actor R Madhavan joining the cast as a new character.
