But this wasn’t the case before as a year ago no filmmaker was signing her as the leading lady of the film. Animal (2023)
Actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s action-drama film Animal came as a breakthrough for Tripti Dimri. Animal initially starred actress Rashmika Mandanna in the female lead. But the film happened to be a career-changing breakthrough for Tripti Dimri who played a supporting role as the second love interest of Ranbir Kapoor. All the credit goes to Sandeep Reddy Vanga who introduced Tripti Dimri in the most glamorous and gorgeous role one can ever dream of.
Tripti Dimri became an overnight sensation following the mammoth success of Animal. Her Instagram handler went from 500K followers to 3 million followers after Animal whereas she became a household name for everyone. She emerged as one of the favourite actresses of Bollywood.
Tripti Dimri had no major film release before Animal. She featured in a couple of films but none of the films helped her to shape her film career. She also featured in two web series which won her critical acclaim as an actress but failed to give her fame.
Following Animal, Tripti Dimri became one of the leading ladies of Bollywood. She received several film offers in the leading. Tripti has signed several big films with big production houses of Bollywood. In fact, she had two film releases in 2024 which are Bad News and Vicky Vidya Ka Who Wala Video. Both films were successful at the box office.
Tripti Dimri’s next and third release of 2024 is Bhool Bhullaiyaa 3. The film is set to release soon during the Indian festival Diwali. The film releases globally on 1st November. Director Aneez Bazmee signed Tripti Dimri Bhool Bhullaiyaa 3 after watching her in Animal. Bhool Bhullaiyaa 3 producer Bhushan Kumar produced Animal as well. Besides Tripti, Bhool Bhullaiyaa 3 also stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Mishra, Rajpal Yadav, Rajesh Sharma and Vijay Raaz among others.
Tripti Dimri’s final and fourth release of the year is Dhadak 2. Dhadak 2 is a spin-off to the 2018 film Dhadak. Dhadak 2 stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles. The film is directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar. Dhadak 2 is an official remake of the 2018 critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal.
Tripti Dimri will reprise her role of Zoya in Animal 2. In fact, her role in the second part of Animal would be much bigger and more interesting. Animal 2 is scheduled to be released in 2028.
