Baby John is scheduled to release during Christmas 2024
The teaser for the upcoming action thriller film ‘Baby John’ is out. The film stars an ensemble cast of Varun Dhawan, Jackie Shroff, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Zakir Hussain, Sanya Malhotra, and Sheeba Chaddha among others. The film also stars Indian Superstar Salman Khan in an extended guest appearance. The film is directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, Priya Atlee, Joyi Deshpande, and Murad Khetani.

Baby John is a mega-budget action thriller film featuring Varun Dhawan as a cop and Keerthy Suresh as his wife. Baby John is the Hindi debut film for highly successful South film actress Keerthy Suresh. Keerthy Suresh has previously featured in several critically acclaimed and hit Telugu and Tamil films. Keerthy Suresh has even won a National Film Award. Besides Keerthy Suresh, Baby John stars Wamiqa Gabbi in the second female lead. Jackie Shroff plays the title role of the main antagonist in the film.

Baby John is an official Hindi remake of the 2016 blockbuster film ‘Theri’ starring Vijay and directed by Atlee. In an interview, the director of Theri and producer of Baby John, Atlee said that Baby John is a remake of his previous film ‘Theri’ but they have made several changes and presented several new real-life events.
Atlee is highly known for directing several blockbuster Tamil films. He gained worldwide recognition and reputation following the mammoth success of ‘Jawan’ which was released in 2023. Jawan ranks amongst the highest-grossing Indian films ever. The film featured Shahrukh Khan in a never seen before avatar.

The cameo of Salman Khan in Baby John is reportedly directed by Atlee. Salman Khan and Atlee are soon collaborating on a big action film in 2025. But before their collaboration, Salman Khan came on board to play a key role in Baby John as a senior police officer of Varun Dhawan. According to the reports, Salman Khan charged no fees for his guest appearance in Baby John due to his closeness with Varun Dhawan, his friendship with other producers of the film, and his upcoming collaboration with Atlee.
